Cemetary GatesA Poem by Alicia_SkyeThis originally started off as a song. One of my rhyme-y days.
CEMETERY GATES
Walking down a gravelled road past the highway, where endless go walked straight ahead and kept my pace Straight on through the cemetery gates Didn't stop until I reached the doors, they were closed at the time, That didn't change my mind I came to see what I could see Rows and rows of people gone old lost souls never going home and I found myself wondering when you reach the end, do you start again? Many that could have been saved just a few hundred people, waiting in their graves After finding out what I came to see I realized no one could see me how did I end up hear? Is there anyone shedding tears? My questions will be unheard alone I wander, to walk this earth © 2010 Alicia_Skye |
