Sorrow Drowns The Living And A Soul DiesA Poem by KAREN
Tears fall like rain on a dreary day, I yearn to feel your breath flowing on my cold dead body. I beg the God above to let me swim in the deepness of your eyes one more time. I wish to rewind, go back to days when I felt my heart beat with life.
I remember crimson days when our blood pumped as one. Kisses on my lips were sweet, warm, and loving. Now I'm shriveling away like the last rose you gave me on my birthday.
Your face is printed forever in the depth of me. It's true my love, sorrow drowns the living, and a soul dies.
Days without you numbs me to nonexistence. I'm broken forever, and not even a new love can glue me back together. I lay at the head of your grave bruied eternally in your love. © 2012 KARENAuthor's Note
