Santa's Christmas Dilemma

For the creative poetry group! We had to write a poem based on this picture.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Magical eyes are confussed

Exhaustion interferes with his duties

Responsibility has taken its toll

Reality collides with his mixed up mind

Yearly trips keep him over worked

 

Candy canes mysteriously are in his beard

Head aches from too much holiday cheer

Reindeer are stuck in a chimney

Identity he wishes to change

Shame causes him to cry

Tequilla warms his weary soul

Misadventure leads to disaster

And gifts are delivered to the wrong houses

Santa shouts  ho ho ho, and then passes out

I think poor Santa needs a long vacation. I found this humorous but at the same time I can't imagine trying to be Santa Claus. Great write for the group.

Poor Santa--who can blame him for becoming so frazzled. Just sorting out all of today's electronic gadgets is enough to make a man drink, especially one as time-worn as him.
