Home Sweet Home

Blue pillows spills through the fluffy clouds

Birds fly above the horizon

Wind whispers soft soothing tunes

Sun slowly sets in the eastern sky

Few colors sparks through the rays

In anticipation of a new evening

The air smells of pine

A few scented flowers still lingers

The chill is crisp but brings a freshness to the soul

Smoke curls up from the chimney

Filling the almost night sky

The sound of the rippling creek fills the quiet

A small canoe lays nearby

Waiting for the next time to float in the cool waters

Ducks bob up and down as they hunt for food

Fish bubbles to the surface to catch a glimpse of the stars

Deer sits in awe of the scenery

Bugs bellow out in their unique voices

Wait, listen, what's that noise?

Perhaps it's two lovers nestled inside

Naked bodies laying on a bear skin rug

Warmth heats them as the fire crackles

Laughter fills the room as they tease one another

They glance outside and smile inside and out

Eyes close and peace fills them

Knowing that their little cabin in the woods is their

Home sweet home

Oh boy, would I like to be there. It was already a picture-perfect scene, and then I was young again, having a little cuddle. Time for my medicine.......

You create a nice place with the poem. A safe place to rest and find peace and calm. A very good ending to a excellent poem.
