Hoping for Happy Ever After

Hoping for Happy Ever After

A Poem by KAREN

Inside her head a dream is planted,

Which fortifies her visage

Seeds of his love is sown deep inside,

Growing stronger with each passing minute

Waves of emotion kisses the shore of her heart

Love for him is inextinguishable

She sits by the Peony Tree

And the rows of blooming Azaleas,

Watching and waiting for him

Sullen mine hoping he shows

Then, he comes slowly toward her

The glow of the lights showing the way

He stops and stares at her

She's what he calls a cornucopia of natural beauty

Twilight hue of the sunset is spectacular

Colors of red and orange light up the sky

But her beauty out shines it all

Her eyes is a reflection of blue,

Dancing with the glistening stars

Blonde hair flowing softly in the breeze

Sun kissed skin yearning for his touch

His masculine scent drowns her

Fluid desire creates a tide

She longs to be intermingle with him

Mystic body coming toward her

Stirs passion for him deep inside

Until a whimper flows in the air

Her breathing slows as he takes her hands

Time stands still for now

They dance to the flow of silent music

And the rippling of the lake

Scenic beauty of her slender body

Over powers him and his desires

No longer can his lips wait

He captures a passionate sweet tender kiss

He sits her down by a rainbow of wildflowers

Faint sounds of crickets can be heard

He kneels down on one knee

A soft smile curls their lips

"Will you marry me?"

He slides the ring onto her finger

Waits for her to answer

She stares into charming eyes

"Yes"

Horse-Drawn Carriage arrives

He helps her into the buggy

They ride off into a lover's fairy tale,

Hoping for happy ever after

Beautiful imagery! I like how you said "hoping" for a happily every after, showing the realism that life is not happily ever after, it is happy but it is also sad. It is many thing. Overall nice write! Good work!

A very romantic tale. We never know what happens after the happily ever after. It is a fairy tale. I truly enjoyed your very romantic tale.

I wish there was a thing called Happily Ever After, I don't believe in fairy tales though. I have never experienced happily ever after and I doubt I ever will.
The concept is good though. Maybe one day some one will experience happily ever after but as for me I doubt it. Lucie
