Anniversary NightmareA Poem by KARENAnniversary surprise gone bad!Calendar screams at him, darts of you did it again pierce the date. Anniversary is today! No time to buy a gift, improvise he will do. Pot roast in 500 degree oven. Dry morsel of bread and butter is better than fine dining.
Flesh is ripped from hand, rose petals are scatterd on sheets of forgiveness. He hopes. Soft compelling music plays. Champagne is chilling, and hot tub of sexual bliss awaits under sparkling stars.
Hallucination of the evening to come causes his manhood to harden. Succulent lips and two willing bodies compress together. Hot furnance of unsmoldering love making heats up to passion.
Smoke filled lungs and an alarm of eagerness brings him back to reality.
Door opens and firey eyes glare as hotheaded wife enters. Husband kisses pouting lips. Wife extinguishes his desire. Anniversary horror floods in.
Obstinate wife complains about rancid brunt smell. He leads her to their bed of scented paradise. Untamed dog with muddy feet lay on sheets of forgiveness. He hopes.
Romantic evening takes a deviation. She sips on champagne, and soaks wounded heart in hot tub. Dog and husband sleeps on couch of loneliness, while beautiful wife sleeps on sheets of unforgiveness. © 2011 KARENAuthor's Note
