She Says, He Says

She Says, He Says

A Poem by KAREN
"

Relationship gone bad!

"

Two desolate hearts,

living together, yet apart.

Entangled with fake vows.

Imaginations run to mischief.

Lives discord and empty.

She says her heart is

a wash board soaped up

with his lies.

Stains of past memories

set in for life.

He says he's been pulled

through the ringer

and hung out to dry.

Fresh air of resentment

fragrance his body.

Two repeled hearts,

living together, yet apart.

Jig-saw puzzle scattered

about, reflecting their broken lives.

Everyday is an addition of the past.

She says he's an invasion

of unwelcome attitude.

Acid leaving a sour taste,

and bitterness chasing humiliation.

He says his brain waves

are flustered by her feminine rights.

Blame of all mistakes bandage

his point of views.

Two mimic hearts,

living together, yet apart,

mocking the other's behavior.

Nonchalant grins stab their souls.

She says he's an alcoholic

an open bottle of abuse.

An exhaust pipe giving

her fumes of displeasure.

He says she is diluted

with diminishing beauty.

Elastic figure that doesn't

bounce back to size.

Two exploited hearts,

living together, yet apart.

Seams that once was joined

lays raveled on the floor,

because of....

She says

He says

Man...this is one very sad piece of work.
It hurts to see two people drift apart in this way.
The perspective is great...you really show us
the effect of such relationships.

Sounds like what happens to a lot of couples who have been together too long. Like the song by Lionel Richie---- Still... So many things we didn't say, but then most of all I do love you....Still. Great poem.. Sad too but such is life.

You describe the tragedy and pain of a relationship going bad very powerfully in your poem. It hurts just reading this. This is very good!

Ah, such a sad situation with relationships go sour. One thing people need to remember, relationships take a lot of work. You must be happy being with that person, not expect them to make you happy. And it must be worth fighting for as anything worth having is. You did a great job on this poem, I enjoyed reading it.

I agree, it takes two in any type of relationship...this was very well executed...

very empty as this kind of expression should be

Your lines are woven beads of amazement. I especially like the line "Two exploited hearts living together, yet apart." It can easily sum up a couples relationship.

Powerful! I like it a lot..when things go "bad"..people so often forget it is both sides...takes two to tango...so it is said lol
Beautifully explored love...great work xx
