Ballerina Princess

Ballerina Princess

A Poem by KAREN
"

The art of dancing!

"

Elegance glows around her.

Dressed in comisole princess tutu,

ballet slippers on her feet,

flexable limbs stretch to music.

A beautiful artist as she moves about.

He sits in an area of remoteness,

watching her performance.

Intrigue with her dancing he smiles,

heart beats wildly.

In orbit, legs out streched,

she flies across the stage,

lands on pointed toes.

Whirls into a pirouette,

turning her body on one foot.

Extension of each limb,

posing in open side leap.

The audience claps.

Her balance grows more

graceful with each step.

She does a combination of jumps,

inclination to center stage.

All eyes wide.

Her speed and energy increases.

Serenity sweeps over him.

Salty love tears spill down his face.

She does her grand finale.

People jump to their feet.

She curtsies,

an angelica smile lights up her features.

He yells, "Bravo!"

"Did I do good daddy?"

He grabs her in a palpable hug.

Hands her a rose,

kisses her little ballerina face.

His heart swells with pride.

"Yes," he whispers.  "Bravo."

I think you are a beautiful little ballerina who really knows how to make her father proud. Along the way, you just happen to write about it in a quite visual and touching way. You move about the stage and page with grace. Good on 'ya!

Ah, I know this feeling well! You transribe it beautifully and perfectly. I felt as if I where that little ballerina again...dancing to chirpy piano keys and hopping from string to string.

I love the father daughter moment in this piece and you describe it incredibly. The tip-toes and the twirling allow me to picture this moment in my mind quite well.

I loved it, being a dancer you told a dancer's story very well. It was beautiful.
