Human Characteristics

What people are made of!

Mirrors reflecting images,

virtue of others revealed.

World gives luminous light,

or bleakness from the

characters within.

 

Artificial feelings

feast on hate or lies.

Bodies of stone

remorseless of who they are.

 

Evil eyes yearn, and

search to bring harm.

Wickedness is their best friend.

Immoral heart beats to the

rhythm of  the pain of others.

 

Arrogant personality,

disposition never changes.

Respect is lost in the

emptiness of their heads.

Shameless is the only

song on their radio.

 

When rain falls,

is that the world crying?

Characteristics of humans

sending out sadness?

 

Laughter follows them

around like puppies.

Enjoyment is handed out freely.

Happiness is their middle name.

 

Devotion is a true friend,

helping hands hold frimly.

Loyalty keeps the hearts

locked together with faithfulness.

Their life is a schedule of

how can I help you?

 

Charm overflows,

drowning people with

their delightfulness.

Life vest of love is

worn around their neck.

 

When the sun shines,

is that the world smiling?

Characteristics of humans

bringing happiness?

 

Qualities make up a person.

Good?

Bad?

Characteristics make us who

we are.

This poem reminds me so much of two identical twins. One would have a pepsi and a cheesesteak. The other would have water, salad and an organic apple. They were literally like night and day. One would say dump a cheater and forget him. The other would say..break his windows...windshield and his face. lol

You are so right. Flesh and bone do not make a person. There is much more to us than that.

this counter acts my own philosophy on humans. i believe that it is actions that make us who we are, for a man can go his whole life doing evil immoral things, but then do something amazing and be seen as a hero. characteristics of man is something only of mans design, it can be shifted and changed with the passing of time and changing of culture, in the end, we make us who we are. not characteristics, not actions, not other peoples judgement. in the end, you are the only person you have to impress...
thats my view anyways lol. but this is an amazing other side of the coin example of human psychology,i enjoy watching man and seeing what it will do, sadly i am but a mortal and will only get to see one lifetime of mans endless tragedy play that is "Mankind" how i wish there was a play write to deem and control what happens, but there is not one, this is all improve for the other animals to witness.
