Where?

Where?

A Poem by KAREN
"

Falling out of love!

"

Where was I when you stopped loving me?

In our bed hugging your pillow to my chest?

Delirious with sorrowful pain,

feeling the hole in my heart grow bigger?

Forgotton, lost, like days gone by?

Laying in a tub of enticing bubbles,

drowning my emptiness in lavender scent?

Blood turning cold from the lack of your touch?

Silence drums in my ears.

By your side, lust for her sweating from your  brow?

Your euphoric behavior tells me you're thinking of her?

Flood gates open the salty tears to my eyes.

Wearing your velvet shirt,

smelling your lies?

Prayers unheard being said.

Destoyed by your desires

I burn with hot anger.

Inside of me, but making love to her.

Your sinful arms wrapped around me,

bundling me in false love.

Your extrinsic ways reveal

that you fell out of love with me.

My life melts away from me little by little,

leaving me disconnected.

Where was I when you stopped loving me?

Together?

                            Apart?

             With her?

                   With me?

               Here?

                      There?

But what I really want to know is:

Where were you when you fell in love with her?

The poem is honest and direct. I like the question and the flow of this poem. Your description of each situation made the poem stronger. I like the last question. Thank you for sharing this outstanding pom.

Beautiful joB~ although I think silence should be silent.

I like the imagery. I can really feel the bitterness and feelings of anger and dispair.

"Your euphoric behavior tells me your thinking of her." Second your should be you're.

Most of these sentences end in periods, but they're implied questions and should end in question marks. The subject is trying to figure out where "she" was when he fell out of love.
