Am I In Love?

Am I In Love?

A Poem by KAREN
"

Signs of love!

"

Physical responses are out of bounds.

Cheeks blush, skin is tingly.

Stomach flip flops.

There's a lump in my throat.

Twisted tongue keeps me from talking.

When you're around I stare,

and carry a bold smile.

I've got the breathless dizzies.

Dreamy mind wonders what our kids

will look like.

People say I'm glowing.

Dating others is out of the question,

you're my object of affection.

I have a strong physical attraction,

my heart belongs to you already.

I try to be suggestive and inviting,

but shyness is wrapped around me.

Jealousy overpowers  me when you talk to others.

Chemicals of love race through my veins.

I feel high, absent-minded.

Concentration is useless, my mind is full of you.

Everything is a constant reminder of the hole

in my heart,where you belong.

I thirst for you like a dry desert land thirst for rain.

My nervous twitches,

and warm fuzzy body confirms my love.

There's only one problem left,

How do I tell you how I feel?

Sexual attraction can really play wierd games with our minds and hearts..patience is a virtue..all one can do is wait and see..Kathie

I'd wait and see if HE shows you SOMETHING before you put your heart out on a limb! :) This isn't necessarily being in love. I have found by my own personal experience (and believe me I've had HUNDREDS of years/men (!) to know what I'm talking about), that all these feelings in the heart, brain and body are nothing more than the result of the chemical impulses of sexual attraction - the pituitary gland going haywire ... lol ... in response to a real physical and mental attraction, and imaginary spiritual one. To me, it's very easily dismissed when the first thing goes wrong, so... is it love, then? I think not. But don't take my advise. I'm just a cynic, after all. Best of luck to you...

But the sensations you describe about the 'in love' feeling are certainly very real, as they have been, I suppose, for everyone who has ever lived. :)

I can relate to this! and I'd like to know the same thing..How do you tell them without having them run away?

Very nice, I think we've all had a crush on someone like that. The line that I could relate to the most was "Concentration is useless, my mind is full of you." I feel like that all the time. Great poem, incredibly cute. =]
