PEACE

Close your eyes and you'll be there!

Where can peace be found?

All you have to do is close your eyes, and let your mind wander to a new place,

to a new awareness.

 

Close your eyes and find your solitude.

Your in a field of wildflowers,

the warmth of the sun shining down on you,

the air filled with nature scents.

 

Your on the beach,

you can feel the sand beneath your feet,

the salty waves splashing in your face,

the sea gulls flying high above you.

 

Your in a cabin in the middle of no where,

the snow is falling outside,

the fire is crackling in the fireplace.

 

Your high on a mountain top,

you feel free, safe from everything,

you can hear the roaring of a nearby waterfall.

 

When the sun is rising high in the sky, causing colors to spill,

or when the sun is setting , causing darkness to cover the earth,

 

Keep your eyes closed,

open them and peace

Is gone!

Very nice sentiment.. I think you could probably drop the first stanza completely. All you need to do is close your eyes, and let your mind wander to a new place, to a new awareness, drifting along a gentle breeze until you find somewhere soft and gentle to lay your harried heart..

Very cool, very meditative! The only thing I would suggest is a little bit more of a gentler re-awakening into the everyday world, as in taking the peace with you? It's a thought...
