Black and White Fades Love

Black and White Fades Love

A Poem by KAREN

Encased in black
Irreversible dark reflects
Absence of romance

Achromatic hue
Leaves white silhouettes lucid
Vacant of desire

Black and white fades love
Into imperceptible
Humans to strangers

Three short stanzas. When I think of love I can't think in black or white. I can only think of a multitude of wonderful colour.

You are welcome.
I think of your line ...black and white fades live...
And to me it's not fade as in muted color lacking depth but edges blurred and blended making one.

Thanks for stopping by!
Irreversible dark is really catchy! I like the verbal alchemy of this poem, mixing colors and ideas into poetic gold! And you always come up with nice art to go with the poems.

Thank you!
Black and white feels to me like an empty relationship....a romance gone bad ; or even a relationship without any pizzazz...Many of us think in the box instead of outside the box, which I refer to as being black and white. We all need color in our romances, the ability to show passion in cinematic color.....otherwise we are like perfect strangers. Good write.

You're very welcome!!!
I find, at first glance, these apparently staccato words quite musical. Then I find the rythm even more and add allsorts to them. Wonderful word choices.

Words means different things to different people. I see the loss of love between the grays of black and white. Very evocative play on words. I like it!

Liked very much the evocative, spare delivery. It says much in few words. Behind the words seems to be a memory of something that was good, but only for a while.

This is deep. I feel the narrator is saying that there are no colors when it comes to love. Black and white will fade one day. Colors won't be noticeable. Love will cover all in its embrace.
An excellent poem.
