Nursery Rhyme Mix up

Nursery Rhyme Mix up

A Poem by KAREN
"

A poem for fun!

"
Humpty Dumpty lost his furry white sheep
He runs down the street and begins to bleep
Little Boy Blue jumps over the full moon
Running very fast hoping to find them soon
Along comes Miss Muffet and three blind mice
Who leaps around and looks everywhere twice
Mary Mary Quite Contrary runs up
She begins to scream, "have you seen my pup?"
The old Lady in the shoe hears a noise
She knows it had to be Jack and Jill's voice
Old Mother Goose sweeps in on her big broom
Hoping Little Bo Peep will come resume

Clever. And fun. That's a good idea creating one from many.

Check your word quite. I don't think Mary Mary was very quiet when she was contrary.

Thank you! I will go fix that!
The little dog laughed He had the cat
And the dish ran away with the spoon
But the farmer's wife took the blind mice to the school of the blind
They taught them brail and gave them white sticks

Looking on my PC Files I should have a few (Unmixed) rewritten nursery rhymes on the same pattern
that was fun! Nursery rhymes are a bit disturbing, if you really think about it but the mash-up works much better. Oh and did you mean Mary, wait...yeah, I have the same question and Carola about Mary or Marry

what a fun read, it gave me a smile. 😀
in line 7 did you intend to write Marry Marry or was it meant to be Mary Mary?

Thank you!
This is great, and reminds me of that cartoon from the sixties, "Fractured Fairy Tales". Here's a silly one I recall from when I was a kid--"Mary had a little lamb--the doctor fainted. Old MacDonald had a farm--the doctor died."
Oh--I hope Little Boy Blue has a parachute!

Thank you!
A well crafted humorous poem mixing in a bunch of nursery rhymes and building a story around all of them. And, the story is woven to show us how funny these famous characters are. I like the rhyme and all the phrases... they just really go together. Well done!
Best, Betty
