When Reflections pause in Time

When true love falls apart!

Secrets collect dust

between broken lies

found hidden in dreams

of poetic beauty,

and warmth slowly dies.

Notes frozen in time

are from quiet memories

shedding tears.

Angelic obstacles dance

along shadows resembling

artistry that transforms into 

speechless affection. 

Loneliness erase voices,

and unravels seeds,

and plants a path to

nowhere.

A distant heart

sings solitude

when pain captures

the only breath taken.

Ecstasy aches for

another glimpse

of a silent voice,

echoing against a

tender touch.

Yesterday's reflection pauses as

tomorrow's reflection bleeds

for a shade of true love,

and today's reflections die

entwined in regret,

and time stands still.

Memories as spectres of a past that refuses to die. This haunted, we move on in halting steps at best.

I'm a " no point crying over spilled milk" kinda guy so have always very quickly moved on from broken relationships, will be celebrating 29 years wed in October...I'm a very lucky man.

I do like it. Your words reflect regret and desires that are lost without the hope of coming to fruition. The touch of a lover lingers like stars in the sky. You can see them, but they're too far away to be reached any longer.
