The young and left oneA Story by stories from xxBased on my experience when visiting an orphanage of disabled children
It’s such a nice day, but for them it’s just the same day as usual
Nothing changes there, just the time and the sky But suddenly, there, lots of happy teenagers come to visit And then the happy faces fade and change place “Who are these people? What are they going to do here? Are they harmful?” “Will you please help me to get that?” “Don’t show me that sad face! Just make me smile and I’ll thank you for the rest of my life” “You are beautiful, you are handsome” “Thank you, you are such a kind person” “I’m glad that you’re here” “Thank you for the prayers. God bless you all” ….are the words they are going to say But, in the reality, they can’t even speak Smile, laugh, cry, hurt, but they can’t speak like the visitors, some of them even can’t move, can’t walk, can’t do anything they wish they can do Guess they just just want to die, but they can’t Instead, they are thankful cause there are still people who care for them The stars of hope are clearly seen in their eyes Young teenagers, you, me too Whenever you feel that it’s useless to live anymore Give up on the long-chased dreams Blame yourself because you aren’t good enough Just remember them, those who are young but left because of the shame of their parents Those who can’t even stand by their own, who can’t stand on the ground normally like us This world is more beautiful than you think And it’s more beautiful knowing that you live in it and you have no trouble in exploring it © 2016 stories from xx |
