AcceptanceA Poem by Eli BlayzeSuch a sad world when even family doesn't support your choices. They don't see inside of my heart, They don't know this is tearing us apart.
Can't they just be happy? Can't they just be happy?
It is my life, So what if I want her to be my wife?
Mom, I'm gay. Why isn't that okay?
Dad, I'm gay. Why can't that be okay?
Don't push me away, Don't you dare walk away.
Face the fact, Or I won't be able to come back.
Do you see, You're breaking my heart. Do you see, this is tearing us apart..
Mom, I'm gay. Dad, I'm gay.
You couldn't have just said, "That's Okay."? Instead, you had to push me away. © 2011 Eli BlayzeAuthor's Note
