Reversed Roles

Reversed Roles

A Poem by Stone Fox

Looking back,
in your previous attractions the role playing usually involved more than a pretty target.

Although it was unknown to you at the time,
with each new growing experience,
your perception as well as reality began to find you less subtle while betraying your most important values.

Making you cloudy as you forget that you are the one who decides if you will continue.
-a most clever rouse.

Notice a perfected strategy,
  Notice the ultimate prize..

-but take heed and do not get sucked into it.
Instead use this for yourself.

Reverse these roles made for you by society created in a nature that is no longer even relevant.

You then become the prize
and ignorant of your actual relevance.
Checking in to your trophy wife club on foursquare and having every minute of your planned out for you.

Soon you will know the unspoken secret,
the lesson most refuse to learn and instead choose to cling to their delusional denials.
You will become educated in the most difficult yet basic elementary concept of all:
Attraction is not a choice.
