          “Screw the Chocolate”

 

 

Screw the chocolate, the flowers, it’s a Hallmark Holiday,

So FTD and bonbons make up for the rest of the year?

Why wait for just one day, to tell that special someone,

How they make your heartstrings resonate like an angels choir?

To do the special little things that make you happy and smile,

And love you , just because they have found someone,

Who knows them so completely, and who’s passion shines

In their eyes, like a bright sun, reflected, in a drop of morning dew on a blood red rose?

The same person, who can easily finish your sentences, because

Twin souls of twin minds are in sync, and keep time, meshing Like the gears of an exquisitely crafted, jeweled, hand made Swiss watch?

So screw the chocolate, and the flowers.

Okay, maybe not the chocolate!
