![]() Yellow Rose BeautyA Poem by Mark![]() First Love, written long ago.![]() Gone are the days, of my sweet yellow rose. I'd run by and snatch them from under the neighbors nose, And as I ran he'd curse me, but I had not a care, For the rose was for the girl with the sweet yellow hair. I' d give her the rose and she'd hug me so tight. Her lips were as soft as a breeze on the night, Her eyes shone like diamonds, and her skin was, oh, so fair, My yellow rose beauty was a girl, oh, so rare. But I took her for granted, and she took it right in stride. Somehow my sweet beauty, she just kept up her pride, If only I'd known, and at such a great cost, The love that we shared would soon become lost. Now I' ll never stop loving her until the day I die. And even after then, I know I'll still cry, So if you've got a yellow rose beauty, that you can call your own, Don't end up like me, and be a fool, all alone.... © 2013 MarkReviews
