Scape Goat

Scape Goat

A Poem by Mark

Hey look! It's the ScapeGoat action figure, complete with pentagram around his neck!
Ya' know he's responsible for all the problems and all the trouble in our family.
Just who the hell does he think he is? We don' t owe him a Godamn thing!
It' s all his fault! It is , it always was, and forever shall be, world without end amen!
Why just look at him, he's so holier than thou! And if I ever did ANYTHING wrong, it was His
Fault! He made me do it! Just then Scape Goat looked up and said," I never in all my years,
Saw anybody blow smoke rings of denial outta their a*s before",and with that, ScapeGoat
Drifted off to sleep......

That's just so nice to hear! Thank you!
Say wha? Clarity, please? You know, I like this and I don't like it at the same time...but find myself just thinking, what, exactly, is he trying to say, and who, exactly, is Scape? I know, you prob. think I am dense, but I gotta be truthful, so do tell!

I have two cats I would never dream of kicking, and I don`t have a punchball either, but from time to time I beat myself up, figuratively.
Yes, Mark, I think most folk live with a scapegoat inside or outside themselves. P.

This poem is one of those rare pieces of literature that has the potential to remain timeless.... is it wrong if I thought this was adorable?

Thank you very much, that's too kind
I loved this write. It is so typical of what a scapegoat has to go through any day.
"It' s all his fault! It is , it always was, and forever shall be, world without end amen!" - This line is so funny. Just so good to read.
Thanks.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
It's unfortunate to be the scapegoat...and to have to deal with in the aftermath is atrocious. This is very intriguing, nicely done!

Thanks very much.
I come from an ex "strict" religious southern baptist background...so this made me smile and flinch all at once. It's so easy to see the world as evil..but sometimes the real evil comes from within.
