"At the Mountains of Forever"

"At the Mountains of Forever"

A Poem by Mark

At the mountains of forever, and the seas of evermore,
Lie dreams of future splendor, and tales of ancient lore.

While heroes battle dragons, with maidens by the way,
No one has a credit card, at least that's what they say.
Not kings, nor queens, nor wizards, have ever seen a 401K,
Little elves and giant lizards have no mortgages to pay.
Bankers and brokers have no place, where fantasies abound,
Politicians just do not deserve to walk such hallowed ground.

Income taxes don't exist in the land of magic swords,
At the mountains of forever, and the seas of evermore.

Thanks very much.
i imagine this to be about where you are now..

but for some reason, this reminds me of Vermont...we spent our summers up in Ryegate...
THAT is what i miss about living in NY...the summers up there.

your imagery is vast yet sharp.
