IMMORTALITYA Poem by trista broomeAs the current catches the limbs, They shake. The cranberry-tinted leaves, They break, And fall To their knees, Before the Divine, The Trees. Mother Nature always rises again, As soon as the winter ends, She blooms more beautiful than ever. And just as she does, Her followers never give up when they fall. For she taught them, that Where there is death, there is life. That no one ever truly dies, Because spring is always just 'round the corner To plant them where their stems have bent, And leaves spent.
