DEATH STARA Poem by Joanna MaharisThis is about darkness overpowering the weak in the survival of the fittestYou are the bull that beats down tyrant walls.I am the cape of the matador that tearsthrough your perilous light.I bleed into your soul with the powersthat are vested in me by the saintly hands of God.Merriment dances inside your goldeneyes like a foaming river flows throughmy ruptured veins.Spring forth on your bold heels, and snap your whipe, tamer of the lion, and allow your visions to devour me with your hypnotic voice.
For the vulture's hostage swings back and forth while hanging in his clutches between his sharp claws before it shreds its prey and swallows it up into the death star. © 2009 Joanna MaharisAuthor's Note
