My Faithful Cross That Bleeds Into September

My Faithful Cross That Bleeds Into September

A Poem by Joanna Maharis
"

This is about the lifegiving spirit guiding man through dangerous tunnels he walks through on his journey towards self discovery.

"

My faithful cross bleeds into September winds

with the crashing sounds of thunder and lightening

charging up my veins with electric soul.

I am poured into a glass bottle,

whose cap is sealed up tight.

Breathless shall the windsong be to the guiding light

that immerses me with the passionate rays of sun.

Shelter me from the fires that burn inside my ghostly visions,

and never let a drying tree thirst for life from your spiritual drums.

Soldier of the beaten down flames, let the wonder of soulful parchment

embrace your heart with loving pictures descended from the poet's tongue

tower over the dreamy waters that flower within your jaded eyes.

For the oncoming rain shall always create sugar tears that sleep

forever with your beloved ribbons.

I am captivated by the imaging and emotions you express here... the end less faith through pain and sacrifice, you creative ways bring an intense feel to the piece. Wonderful work.
