mediocre brunches with Insanity Montana

mediocre brunches with Insanity Montana

A Poem by stimey

"i'm up to $40 or $60 a day.."
is the bell that rings loud
through her mountains of speech

it ghosts her on the sidewalk,
screams above the referee,
taps her on the shoulder
after 9pm
on city streets,
paints her bruised in window panes
above the chaste melee

..and it may be..

just another middle finger in the surf
of an ocean full of "f**k you"s,
but that's her bird,
and there's her,
flipping it.

Fantastic poem - I love your style and how vividly you create the scene with the least amount of words. I adore the minimalism and I like that you keep a flowing rhythm in your work even though the lines are short. Nice work. :)

We share the idea, Stimey, that as much should be said with as few words possible. I like your super dramatic endings and soft, easy buildups that are almost like foreplay. Excellent job. I liked this very much.
