A Poem by stimey

WRONG TURN
at the corner of My Youth
and This S**t

dance cards, terminal
reality, cynics..
internal bleeding
and winters
and picnics
and NO F*****G COPS
PERMITTED ON PREMISES

devils and diplomats,
judges and harlots
darkening
funeral parking
lots

shuffle past, make some
polite little noises,
dig in the cellar,
fill pockets with rocks
like anchors, alarming,
disarming the guards,
dismantling armor,
dark skies in the yard,
black dogs
and bad business,
bad blood
and black hearts
fill this house-fire
on the horizon.

sort of like Holden Caulfield meets avant-garde poetry...

disarming the guard who catches in the rye.

i like the in-your-face style you have.

blunt force trauma to the mind.

there is the off color language at times...but it doesn't stand out to draw attention to itself for shock value..it fits and runs together nicely with the rest...it's just real.

will enjoy reading more of you---

I agree with Jacob, this is a slap in the head, like-it-or-leave-it style that is so brutally honest it becomes appealing. It certainly appealed to me.
