Solitary Thoughts

Solitary Thoughts

A Poem by ALiteRead

as I sip cautiously
from this cup called life
I am aware of eyes upon me
sensing another's interest
I look up from my contemplations
to see nothing
no one there
must have been my imagination
it seems to play tricks on me
now and again
unknown and unnoticed
I wander my path alone
no one here but me
I sense others
but never manage to see them
sometimes I think they hear me
but then reality sets in
and I am once again
alone with my thoughts
safe in anonymity
I sip cautiously
