The Fishing Was Good (I think)

one day when I was wandering
thru wooded hill and dale
a sight I thought I'd never see
right there in the trail

a couple was a-coupling 
they were there in the path
I had no choice but to step over
struggling not to laugh

they were surprised to see me
coming down the trail
and so was I to see them there
his cheeks were very pale

as I walked past I glanced at them
he had his face well hidden
she looked at me while lying there
and said "you've got to be kidden"

I don't recall the fish that day
I had my bait and rod
but this will always stick with me
she gave a wink and nod.

It seems it is impossible to get away these days. lol. This brought a smile to my face, you may not remember the fish you caught or didn't, but the glimpse you caught that day can be embellished just the same as any other fisherman's story. His pale cheeks and her...well...
