Things Linger and Fall Away

 Things linger and fall away,

I try and take things day by day.

Thoughts jump to the top of your head,

When you're lying in your bed.

There's people that I love and miss,

Some of them I've even kissed.

Don't think that because I'm not there,

That that's a sign that I don't care.

I'm really happy with where I am,

Sometimes conflicted, but mostly calm.
