Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty

A Poem by a_well_respected-man

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall,

and tried his best to not recall,

All the kings doctors, and all the kings nurses,

Couldn't help as his state steadily worsened.

Humpty Dumpty stood on the wall,

and into anxiety he continued to fall,

All the kings pills, and all the kings care,

Left Humpty feeling empty and bare.

Humpty Dumpty jumped from the wall,

Closed his eyes and began to bawl.

All the kings coffins and all the kings graves,

Surrounded Humpty where he was laid.

This is an impressive twist on a nursery rhyme. Usually when people try to do that, they fall quite a bit flat. I was pleasantly surprised by your poem. It is very creative and seems to point to a larger, more relateable problem. Great job!
