Tuition centers play an important role in the learning of a child. As a parent, when you look for a good tuition class, you should never overlook the infrastructures of the center.  Even the top tuition centers in Singapore do not have the required infrastructural setup.Following parameters should be looked into before admitting your child to a tuition class:logoa3

1) Classroom space: Most of the tuition centers these days keep a small classrooms to save their cost. And then they also over crowd these classrooms by allowing admissions more than the class capacity. This kind of a suffocating environment brings dullness in the students and therefore inhibits their learning. Ideally a classroom should have an area of 540 square feet for every 10 students. This much space is needed for a child to sit and move comfortably in the class. Most of the tuition centers in Hougang lack classrooms with sufficient space.
2) Mandatory Equipment: Parents should check that the tuition center has equipped its classrooms with proper black boards, computers, internet and projectors for an effective delivery of lectures.
3) Seats: A classroom bench should have an appropriate height and back support for enabling a comfortable seating, good visibility, and correct posture to the students. Also the size of the desk should have an optimal size. Actually the seat size of a class should be proportional to the standard. The distance between the seats of a classroom and the black board should also be optimal to maintain visibility and audibility.
4) Interactive Teaching Aids: Audio and video aids are very effective for the learning of students. Drawing diagrams and figures to explain the concepts is an old blackboard teaching technique. Now a days there are many interactive teaching aids available which can help in the teaching even the most difficult topics with computer graphics and 3-D imaging.
5) Library: A tuition center should have a good library with rich video, audio and text resources. The textbooks should be such that they are found interesting and understandable by the students.
6) Study Resources: Usually, tuition classes provide their own-drafted study material to the students. They should provide the resources that give a complete and easy understanding to the students and have been proof read for any mistakes. The font size of the text should be kept optimal for its effective readability.
7) Small Batches: The most important parameter for evaluating a tuition class is the batch sizes that they keep. In a large batch size it is not possible for the teachers to pay attention to each and every kid. On the other hand, a small batch size means maximized learnings as teachers can track the progress of each child and clear their doubts individually. In an ideal situation, the students to teacher ratio should not be more than 6 to 8.
