Every Highway Ends Today

Every Highway Ends Today

A Poem by Steven Fleissner
"

another acoustic song...

"
Wanderlust made you roam
Now just a day away from home
Feels like running out of time
She is all you left behind

By morning you'll be home
Wild rovers they have to roam
Had forever when you left
Your hero on your quest

Spun the planes in the skies
Wild rovers say goodbyes
Turned the waves silver seas
Geography's secret memories

But you more than lost your way
The ghosts won't go away
She's the compass pointing home
Every highway ends today

She's still the compass pointing home
Every highway ends today
