Psychosis

Psychosis

A Poem by Stephen Norton

Hello
Did you have a moment to read?
For what are words if not heard?
And what are lines if not seen?

I just wanted to share my disappointment
It's been haunting all my dreams
But this is real now
And reality feels bleak

I'm just a coward
Who can't find the words to speak
So I hide behind my pretty lines
Using metaphors and similes

To euphemize this euthanasia
The euphoric must be beat
Throw away those hopes of mine
And all the memories

Time to say goodbye
I'd learned to fly
But you,
You clipped my wings

Such a wonderful piece of poetry. The use of words in this is magnificent and how you've worded this is just astonishing. You are a true poet here, my young sir. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to reading some more upcoming pieces of writing!
