i write...i have no schooling...it just comes out of me...so i write it down

i met her on the internet

strangers we still are

ive never felt so close to one

yet she's still so far

my hearts been broke its torn in two

i think that she can heal

the deepest wounds that exist there

the ones that i still  feel

without the hope shes given me

im not sure i would be

close to seeing any light

but the light i do now see

in my mind i still believe

i'll see this girl in front of me

i sure hope i can hold her hand

for all eternity

thank you so much :) i will say im not schooled much in poetry or writing for that matter, i have been writing music and songs for a long time now so i guess i just write my feelings on paper and hope it makes sense...its more for me anyway. if other people enjoy it that just makes it that much more satisfying. appreciate you taking the time to read and comment :)

Np, thank you for posting, and I completely agree! It's what comes out - poetry should be driven by a moment of inspiration, and then we convey it in our own words :) I totally get it tough; before joining on here, hardly anyone saw my poetry because most of it is conveying a lot of emotion.
