It's When

For my creative writing class. We had to write a 7 line, 4 words per line (minimum) poem about love without using "Love".

It’s when the first kiss electrifies

Awakens every nerve in the body

When the touch of their skin

Is warmer than the thickest down blanket

When the breeze displaces her hair

And takes his breath away

When she would rather listen to his laugh

Instead of a song on the radio

When her pain cuts him deeper

Than any knife ever could

When the world stands still

In their time of need

When their need to be together

Surpasses everything else

It’s then you know.

Yes ,.. Its then you know.... Love can be described in a multitude of ways, Your poetry says quite a bit about romanticism, without using the word love... well done.
