She's So HeavyA Poem by StephanieImages stream by as through a kaleidoscope Ever colorful Penetrated by deep disturbance An internal pain beats in her chest It was a harmless strawberry at first Turned into a grenade…
The juices secreted transform to blood Splattering a vast battleground Soldiers lay defeated Their life pooling around them with each passing second Light leaves their eyes Soon becoming nothing but empty wastelands.
She’s so heavy. Images turn into thoughts that weigh on her soul An almost indescribable feeling Cutting her down to size And it’s all she needs to see that face To remind her why she goes through it all.
She’s so heavy.
