Rhody at Heart

Rhody at Heart

A Poem by Stephanie
"

Rhode Island, where I was born and raised.

"

Raised with love for fifteen years

Here is where my heart truly lies

Over an entire country, 3000 miles

Dancing in my mind are pictures of home

Everyday I see best friends and family

Intense bonds were formed there

Sister, I miss you

Love is never more than an arms length away

Affection never more than a hug away

Never will I let my Rhody heart forget

Days with friends and Del's lemonade.

Your heartfelt words, your form, your flow... all of these blend to make such a vivid dedication to a world you miss... memories that will forever be a part of who you are (wherever you go!).... I sort of went the other way... California to the Midwest... so I can relate a bit to missing the familiar... Wonderful write!
