Dictator

Dictator

A Poem by stephsand14

He claimed that he would bring justice,

According to him the last dictator

Was robbing us of a good life.  We, common

People believed him.  We did not see then

What we see now.  People disappear once

They speak out.  They become ghosts, forever

To be silenced.  Anyone who says, “No”

Is out.  The guilty are celebrated,

The tongues of those who use them for good

Are immediately cut out.  We are not

Allowed to develop power and

Intelligence.  We are told to not wait,

Because nothing will ever come true.

If we even think about moving, we

Are trapped and slaughtered.  The pigs have it better.

They get to eat and eat some more.  We are

Kept from ambition and capitalism.

We are mediocre by nature.

We are destined to Nothing, because we

Are not even given the chance to fail.
