Chapter 2: Mr Pepito's DateA Chapter by StephieLouisie
I sigh. Oh well. Work isn't going to wait. I shove through the door and step out into the pouring rain. I see my destination. The high rise office apartments on 52 Walker St. I see my colleague, Kate Tiggers. I may as well be Winnie the Poo beside her.
"Heya, Andie!" She says excitedly. Obviously the rain doesn't effect her the slightest. "Hey Kate." " There's a rumour going around that the boss it taking you to lunch" She smirks. "Wonder if it's a date?" Kate pokes her toungue out at me because all of the girls who are close to him know how hot he is. "Nah, I think he's gonna fire me." "Don't lose hope. You remember what happened in that movie?" I look at her with my most I'm sorry I forgot face and she rolls her eyes. "You still haven't watched it?" "I'm sorry i didn't have time." I apologise. By the time we get to our office I see my boss staring at me through the glass conference room. He beckons to me. "Kate, Roddy's calling me I'll see you in 10." I wave to her and push the heavy door open. "Hi Mister Pepito. You wanted me?" "Yes Andie. I was just making sure our lunch date was still on." "Date?" i ask, confused. "Yes. In fact, lets go now you can have the rest of the day off." "Uh yeah sure." We walk outside and its finally stopped raining. He walks to his porshe and opens the door for me. I hop in and watch him slide around the front of his car. He gets in and drives to the nearest restaurant. He pulls up out the front of the door, jumps out and opens my door. He helps me out. "Welcome to my second business." he says with a satisfied smirk. He's trying to impress me. "Wow." I say. I can't help but be a little surprised he owns so many businesses. Roddy walks up to his receptionist and asks for a table. "Right this way," The pretty lady says. We follow her and take a seat. I pick up my menu and see lots of weird dishes I've never seen in my life. "Whats a Crying Tiger?" I ask curiously. "Oh its an amazing beef dish with my grandma's home made spicy sauce. You should try it" We order our meals and make small talk. He is actually quite nice when not under pressure. I may grow to like him. At last our lunch makes it's way to our table, just as we started to run out of things to talk about. "This is amazing." I compliment.
