Adriana in Aviators

A Poem by Blackie Collar
"

A cryptic song i wrote for my band Mute Point.

"
When you peer in my eyes
do you see a disguise?
Are you searching for you?
In me do you see the truth?
How you’re perceived,
When you enter a room
If you make it they’re tomb
Do you leave them begging for more cause it was just too soon

Now I think you’re sweet but it’s not a show
it’s not skin deep with me
But I think you’re sweet and you ought to know,
you ought to know

When I stare down a room
The undercurrent’s perceived
They know that I was, I am, and I will.

But you think I’m cute and I should be told
By a "man" like you, I know
So you think I’m cute, so sugar sweet,
you think we’d make a great match to compete

I’m going to bludgeon the room, push them limp to their seats
You have to throw off the tune, make them sink to the beat.

You have to cradle the room, put your hubris on high
Keep your gaze at the sun, make them see past your eyes.
