Welcome back to HellA Poem by stephen ferrettThis poem was written when after months away from work I returned. I still find it so very difficult to be in this environment, where I was exposed to workplace bullying.Welcome
back to Hell
The place is the same, the dark entities that made my
life hell are gone The meeting rooms that saw such shame, places where I was
torn apart, stay the same Filled with mournful, dark and sultry air, the distant
stench of primeval aggression, I had to bare I can’t stand to be here, my life has been damaged by
others and that’s not fair. You waited until we were alone, bullied me, tormented me,
and threatened me. Not once or twice, but at your pleasure, help yourself
it’s easy, I am defenceless, feel free. You knew I was vulnerable and weak, food that fed your
twisted ego. I wanted to fight back but knew I would lose, so I stayed
silent and oppressed. I became your toy, your easy target, you never stopped
and never let me rest I had to suffer what you chose to inflict, congratulations look in a mirror are you proud of your achievements, surely impressed? I hope you’re happy, now you have gone, but remember this
if indeed you feel guilt or remorse Every working day I have to endure coming back to this
hell-hole as a matter of course
Your cowardly bullying has left me as damaged goods, worthless, downtrodden and of very little use A helpless victim of covered up, illegal abuse B******s!!! © 2017 stephen ferrett |
