Curious Craft

A Poem by Stephen Cousins
"

A song of love

"

I want a boat with wings

To fly me ‘cross your vast and stormy seas

I want a ship without a sail

So you can drift me where you please

I want a rowing boat with just one oar

So life comes round again

And a ferry crossing River Time

From now till way back then

I need a tanker with a cargo

Of your beauty so refined

And a tug upon your heart strings

Leaving pain and fear behind

I want a liner made of fire

To melt the iceberg dead ahead

And a lifeboat made of sand

To build a castle on your bed
