The hunger and the feast.A Poem by openmindMy attempt at capturing how the purpose of turmoil is intertwined with the purpose of bliss.Staring out the window As the early October moon rises Carrying the cloak of nightfall where we wear all of our disguises My eyes see more than words can say I feel the warmth contrast against colder days The traces of radiation like a grand finally While the wind carries red autumn leaves away How sweet the sudden sip Of life communicating the beauty of the temporary Through my yearning for the somber charm to stay But isn't that the nature of the beast give and take to offer sweet release Every day an offer unrepeated tomorrow's sunrise illuminates Yet another masterpiece When you see these days that I beathe in so deeply Can you feel your soul blend with time like blood into a river Unveiling the roots of immense complexity to be something simple disguised as clever Bliss is nothing without the moments we wither we grasp at peaks and conquer valleys unequivocally to fathom their scope. -Extended- An aching from within my heart triggers These smile lines to crinkle Into twisted mixed emotions I wish you could feel each single one But you see droplets from their oceans If not for my inability to paint my mind in words for all to see, I would have no rabbit to race after on this track look at me trailing off But listen it's not nonsense What you write off irrelevant I offer as nuances I can't quite keep my thoughts in line I swear this mind is haunted to finish pouring out my heart is all I've ever wanted.
