Love Everlasting

 

......and she dreamed

 

Of spring, and daffodils

baby's breath and new beginnings

A hand gentle and strong

 

T’was a time, not so long ago

that she can't still recall

yet longer than the moons wane

calendared with hello

 

Hers...

Beautiful spirit housed in a comely face

back tall and straight

A countenance softening

smiles with a thousand candle glow

 

His...

Surety framed in soft bravado

unbending in a wind

Patience leaking through fingertips

Eyes reigning a ripening lover's heart

 

.......and she wondered

 

Of spring, and daffodils

baby's breath and new beginnings

A hand gentle and strong

 

Two to meet as likely not unlikely

Slender bits of hope against odds

Twining, bending, blending, 

melding Hearts into one

 

In step and out, never losing their way

dancing life's paths of hills and meadows

This day, tomorrow, a mixture of yesterdays

Sorrow and joys bound with love's cradle everlasting

 

……and she dreamed

Two hands both gentle and strong

   when she dreamed

the imagery is really strong in this...and what i like most is that i saw two very normal people falling in love...not the normal fairy tale or romance story with two beautiful people...that we admire but could not be...we could all be these two folks...
