It wasn't

It wasn't in found in the soft light of dawn that pushed the darkness from the sky

It wasn't found in the rain gently washing the sore and tired parts of the earth from the most vulnerable part of the heart

It wasn't found in the outstretched hand that was embraced by the emptiness of the tender streaks of dawn

It wasn't found in the less than kind remarks that spewed from lips to forever change the delicate ears that heard them

It wasn't found in the hate that echoed against the starlit night settling down to sleep unaware of the misguided spoken thoughts

It was found in the pureness of heart that refused to listen to the chaos screamed in all direction, by people who no longer reasoned

It was found in the never-ending offering of love toward another negating those whose only intent was hurting in unspeakable rhyme

It was found only when peace was allowed to reign, conquering all that challenged, did the aching stop

Got it. To be honest, I don't know if its my phone or its settings that cause it or how its formatted, but it is infuriatingly only at the end and you are left wondering. Last time it happened was when a sinister guy broke into a house and was just about to enter the kids bedroom. I found it three days later that it was santa :)
Now I have read it in completion, I feel that acceptance is the key, perhaps even forgiving, or forgetting. No matter what happens to us in life is only part of the problem, the rest resides in our mind, labelled under what if, that can feel like the true punishment, that we have to carry with us at all times.
Explaining even to ourself how to let go is nigh on impossible, but sometimes we manage to and all that baggage of thought we carried suddenly dissolves, leaving us free to once more straighten our backs and walk tall again.
Personally, I walk about these days like a deflated question mark, so im only guessing how the skies look these days.
I hope I am on the money, or near the money and acceptance and brighter days have been found.

You are on the money and close to it in many ways. I am an eternal optimist, that can feel beaten up by people, occasionally. Troubles and struggles are nothing new and certainly no one is exempt. After an extremely frustrating time, life is good again. The maker of discontent has been banned. This is the reminder, that the power really does lie within each of us. It is how we deal with it that is the key. And I forget this often.
