Waiting for the day

Waiting for the day

A Poem by Stephany

quietly and unassuming
wafting in the shadows

The agony that stems from unfilled yearning
searching for the softness

hands held stroking hearts as words
floated from one to another

breaths ending as
the next is born

exhales filled with weight of
dreams, hoping to be caught

only to be unclaimed
rebuffed by silence

The well worn coat in the closet
receives the best of the forlorn

waiting for the day that
may never come

There were times I'ld seen the face of God only to turn and tell of it to the silent mysts... I don't think anyone ever gets used to the silence they live within - ya know?
