See Under, “Generation Y Friendship”

See Under, “Generation Y Friendship”

A Poem by Stephanie W.

I’m holding my breath till July-
when Matt gave me that guitar with blood inside of it.

I saw him in the woods last night
And he answered his own questions-
“How much does a hipster weigh?
…An instagram.”

“Seeing you last night was a dream realized
and it looks like I won’t be homeless this fall after all.”

Matt,
you invited me to some gathering at your place
the flyers called “PCP Easter”
and promised games of “pin the identity on
the hermaphrodite.”

I’m trying to look really supportive while you talk
about your new career as a 5th dimensional photographer.

I’ll have to add your name, now
to the list of my friends
who are all together not here.
