Punk Secrets

Punk Secrets

A Poem by Stephanie W.

Beauty Donkey,

My new best friend

We met up outside Leipzig

In a vegan cupcake insomniac daze

We sang french to the hay

Happy Sundays kissing alien lovers

Between the fence our muzzles meshed

Hopelessly believing it may work it's magic

Your dewey pools, dark lashed depths

Like loveliness in film

Through a lense, I scent you

Scared in a casiotone desert

Like River Pheonix, you are too young to die

I should forget that I even met you

Cheater once cheater for life

Avacado eyes, clasping your long neck

You're my muse before you know it

I'm done traveling light.

I really like this. The word use is really rich and descriptive. It is a love poem, but you have laid it out in a way which is interesting and gripping. Comparing a cheating lover to a donkey is a really great way of going about it. I also really like the ending.
