One Wish

This one is about giving up on someone you love due to their choices of doing drugs.

I say I hate you when I love you

and I love you when I don't.

I always think you'll quit for me

But in reality you won't.

You're addicted and you lie

that you're 100% sober.

Why did I care when

you went to rehab last October.

My heart cringes every time

that I hear your name.

You act so very different

while your smile stays the same.

My one wish is that you 

would have never started doing drugs

And we could go back to being

in love and giving each other hugs

To tell you the truth, I miss you

and that's exactly my point.

Why I should give up on you

and let you keep smoking joints.
